Silence

Photography is autobiography. Look through my images and you’ll find numerous journeys.

The physical journey of bays, hills, mountains, seas, roads, people, capes, towns, cities, countries.

The photographic journey from rough snaps to a more fully realised vision.

The cerebral journey determining where and what I point the camera at.

And no doubt many other journeys too.

My autobiography isn’t chronological. It’s thematic. It jumps between headspaces, concerns, and locations.

These images are about moments of peace, of silence, of meditation.

Photographs are triggers. Doors to memories. Memories are less to do with physical objects than with emotions surrounding that time.

That is what these images are for me. Triggers to some of the silences in my life.
